Dear Aunt Ana,

On Sunday we went on a picnic. Dad tied the boat on top of our Fiat bubble car for me and also the basket for Flopsy our dog, and Mum packed our lunch. I had to sit in the back next to Flopsy and we were already hungry. My Dad was in a bad mood and he almost crashed and we lost Grandpa but Flopsy found him. I was so hungry, but Flopsy wasn't. That's because he already ate the meat. Flopsy is a hunting dog and he helped Grandpa shoot a wild chicken. Then we cooked it, but that didn't work, because Dad made an electronic grill and it shorted and broke. I was still really hungry, but Dad cleaned the car. But he was in a really bad mood, and after I fell out of the boat when I was going in it he wouldn't let me go in it any more.

Me and Grandpa then worked out a way of cooking the chicken with jump leads, because he was really hungry too. And Mum and Dad said it was fine and Dad even said that I was really clever and then Mum said yes that's quite true. But because the battery was new there was too much electricity and the chicken got burned and so Grandpa and I were in the doghouse. In the end Flopsy handed over his own tin of food and so we did finally have lunch. Everyone said it was a proper picnic, and it was, except we had to pack up because of the rain.

That was our picnic on Sunday. Dad said we could go again, but Mum just said ha-ha. When I askd what that meant, she said I wouldn't ever understand. But I do understand, because I know what a picnic is. I'm finished now.
