The
new millennium brings new challenges also for the theatre. New and innovative
approaches are requested also in this domain. Industry, technology and informatics
have developed a singular approach to the customer, and they can offer something
unique to every individual.
In its recent production, Wedding, Ana Monro Theatre explores the following
issues: Is it possible to offer to each particular audience a unique performance,
written onto its skin? Is it possible during the show to change passive viewers
into active collaborators, allies who hope that the show would succeed just
as much as the actors do? Moreover, is it possible to pull the spectators
into the event to such an extent that professional actors are no longer necessary
and can leave the scene, only to come back to bow at the end? Last but not
least, can such a show be dynamic, amusing and entertaining once and again?
There is one sole answer to all these questions: YES! It is all there, in
the Wedding. During the wedding ceremony, which takes approx. 45 minutes,
the Ana Monro members gradually and in various ways change all their actors
with spectators, and thus the end of the show, its final 10-15 minutes, is
enacted exclusively by the members of the audience - to the pleasure and fun
of everybody.
Wedding by Ana Monro Theatre is an outstanding manipulation and an event not
to be missed by any institution or town, be it small or big. Its technical
requirements are minimal, its performing space should be solemn, its price
is comfortable. Why attend serial events, if you can witness a unique and
unrepeatable show made right at and for your spot.
Performed in English.
